The Construction of the Kagadi Piped Water Supply System is a comprehensive project aimed at improving water supply and sanitation infrastructure in the Kagadi district. The scope of works includes:
- Access Roads: Construction of unpaved access roads totaling 2.5 km in Kagadi and 3.4 km in Muhororo to facilitate easy access to facilities and improve transportation.
- Borehole Pump Stations: Development of 7 borehole pump stations to enhance water extraction capabilities.
- Booster Stations: Construction of two booster stations, each with a capacity of 100m³, to support the water distribution network.
- Site Works: Installation of an aerator and rapid gravity filters to ensure water quality.
- Chemical House: Construction of a chemical house for water treatment processes.
- Transmission Mains: Development of transmission mains to connect different components of the water supply system.
- Storage Reservoir Tanks: Installation of storage reservoir tanks to hold treated water.
- Distribution Networks: Implementation of Kagadi and Muhororo distribution networks to deliver water to end-users.
- Service Connections: Establishment of an intensification network with various service connections for households.
- Guard and Pump Attendant House: Construction of housing for the guards and pump attendants to ensure the security and operation of facilities.
- Water Office Blocks: Establishment of water office blocks for administrative functions.
- Mechanical & Electrical Works: Installation of necessary mechanical and electrical systems for efficient operation.
- Public Sanitation Facilities: Construction of four 6-stance waterborne public toilets to promote sanitation in the area.
